Most women know that when Aunt Flo comes to visit, it isn't always a pleasant stay. In fact, pain is often involved.

For those women who experience menstrual cramps, we have a special post for you from yoga teacher Mady Morrison and Lunette. She brings us her favorite poses from the yoga tradition to help ease menstruation discomfort. Do them on your yoga mat or on your bed.

And if you follow her advice, you may even feel so relaxed that you lapse into a nice nap after you finish (wouldn't that be nice!).

It's been a horrifically stressful week and as a result I've had my first bout of crippling cramping since changing to a cup. Because the cramps went away with the "conventional" products, I didn't have any of the appropriate little blue pills to stop the raging agony when it hit.

This video saved my sanity today. Pain ebbed to a dull throb after doing the exercises, and the same person made some brilliant vids for anxiety which unglued my shoulders from my ears as well.

I woke in the early hours nauseous from period pain, whole body sweating - the most pain I've had in a long time. In desperation I Googled 'yoga for period pain' - briefly looked at a few and then came across this. Instantly appealed because you were on your bed (I couldn't contemplate being anywhere other than my bed) - and your appearance made me feel very relaxed. As soon as I began doing them the nausea and pain subsided and I felt totally better before I'd even finished doing them all.
