Find a comfortable position - sitting, standing, or squatting. Relax your pelvic muscles to ease insertion. Fold the cup into a C-shape by flattening it and then folding it in half. This shape makes insertion smoother and more intuitive. Explore alternative folds like the punch-down or 7-fold to find what works best for your anatomy.
Keep the cup folded and gently guide it rim-first into the vaginal canal, aiming toward your lower back (not straight up). Once inserted, use a clean finger to check that the cup has fully opened - it should feel round and firm. The Lunette cup can be used throughout your cycle, from heavy to light flow days.
You can wear the Lunette cup for up to 12 hours, even overnight. Depending on your flow, it may need to be emptied 2 - 4 times daily. Use the measuring lines on the cup to monitor your menstrual volume and better
understand your cycle rhythm.
Wash your hands and relax. Gently grasp the base of the cup not the stem – and pinch to release the suction seal. Tilt the cup slightly
to break the seal and remove it slowly. Empty the contents into the toilet, rinse, and reinsert or store.
After each use and at the beginning and end of your cycle, clean your cup thoroughly. Start with a cold water rinse to prevent
discoloration, followed by a hot water wash using Lunette Cup Cleanser. For deep cleaning, boil the cup in water for up to 5 minutes.
Let self-dry and then store in the 100% linen pouch that comes with your Lunette Period Cup.
