Cup for good
The Cup Foundation, “THE CUP” aims
to eradicate Period Poverty & Stigma, providing free period cups and education to girls in need.
Period Poverty & Stigma is common throughout the world.
According to UNICEF an estimated 500 million women and girls lack access to safe menstrual care products and information.
Many girls rely on unsafe improvised materials such as rags, paper, or even mud. Some are even forced into transactional sex simply to afford pads.
Period poverty often impedes girls’ education. Approximately 1 in 10 girls globally miss school during their period,
and in many regions that number is much higher.
Since 2015, thousands of anonymous questions have been gathered during our training sessions. These questions illuminate how desperate the situation is for many adolescents and how support from adults is often lacking.
The Cup Foundation has worked for 10 years delivering sustainable period care and education to underserved communities across the globe. We work with trusted local organizations and projects to provide girls with a reliable period cup that is reusable for up to 10 years, covering their entire school journey.
In addition, we provide training of local trainers, so that the girls get comprehensive education about the cup and sexual health and safety.
We view the cup and period care as a springboard to talk about broader topics and issues. Our Cup Program is about more than periods: it’s about life-skills, self-esteem, and mutual respect— striving for dignity for all girls.
Individuals can support the mission simply by choosing Lunette cups, or by directly contributing to help cover additional costs such as shipping, customs, and educational materials. You can also become a Cuptivist who promotes sustainable period cups in your own community.
Organizations/Projects already working on the ground or in the classroom can integrate the Cup Program into their existing efforts.
We’ll provide:
* Donated Lunette period cups
* Training of local staff, enabling grounded, effective programs
* Access to our Cup Manual with guidelines on how to best provide comprehensive menstrual and sexual health education
* Follow-up support and guidance for trainers and programs
Partners supply the local trainers; we supply the cups, training of trainers, and expertise.
Please note, we do not provide direct monetary support.

We have partnered with some amazing individuals, organizations and companies over the years. Thank you and looking forward to more projects and welcome new partners.
It is easy to forget the boys when talking about periods, and we think when possible that it is super important to get them involved to create better undrestanding and empathy for what the girls are going through when having periods.
In addition we teach that women and men are equals and have learned about the importance of respecting women and that a No is al No! Training also includes topics specific to the boys' situation like puberty, crime and drugs.
